Clamp Rack

Every now and again you have to stop making stuff and devote time to improve the shop - build jigs, improve storage, sharpen blades, etc... The clamp rack is an answer to prayer - my many clamps are often hanging on a wall far away from my work area, or scattered all around the shop and must be hunted down. The clamp rack measures over 5' tall, with a base of 26" by 32", give or take a little. The frame sits at a 13 degree angle to allow the clamps to sit in channels, secured only by gravity.

Constructed of Poplar and Birch plywood (scraps from other projects), this rack has the capacity to hold 24 cabinet clamps with a maximum length of 55 inches each. Smaller clamps can be accommodated on the sides, and eventually will rest on shelves placed in-between the uprights.

Species Featured: Poplar
Lumber: Dimensional Poplar & Birch Cabinet Grade Plywood
